Before I begin sessions with your child, I meet with you (the parent or caregiver) to understand your child’s background, current concerns, and developmental history. This is also a time for you to ask questions and learn more about play therapy and my approach.
Once sessions begin, your child will spend time one-on-one with me in the play room designated for the session. Sessions typically last 45–50 minutes and may include:
Creative play (drawing, sand tray, puppets)
Role-play or storytelling
Expressive activities that reflect their inner world
I follow the child’s lead, helping them feel in control and safe. There’s no pressure to talk, healing often happens through play itself.
While sessions remain confidential to protect the therapeutic space for your child, I schedule regular check-ins with you to share general progress, insights, and ways to support your child at home.
A Safe, Non-Judgmental Environment
Every child is unique. Some may open up quickly; others need time to feel comfortable. I work at your child’s pace, building trust and emotional safety as the foundation for growth.
